The hex socket openings have been forged into a bar of steel, and the 1/2 square shank has been ground to size and hardened to withstand the turning force. Basically I clean the tools and remove rust and/or surface corrosion.Oil and get the mechanisms working perfectly.Give the metal a light polish.Finish with light oil or wax for protection.
