Description: This little wood box with a slide top was probably used for glasses (or for the period, spectacles) and has been preserved beautifully, with a partial paper label along the side and a beautifully preserved shop name of Dr. S. M. Bishop, Optometric Eye Specialist, LOCKWOOD MO. I couldn't find any information on the good doctor but everything about this tells me it could be early to mid 1900s. (Anyone with info on dates please feel free to share!) It measures only 5-5/8" long, 2-3/8" wide, and 1-1/8" tall. What a lovely relic.
