Vintage COUTURE Ivory Satin Brocade Cocktail Dress and Coat Ensemble

Description: This is a Vintage 1950's one-of-a-kind Designer Ivory Satin Brocade cocktail dress with matching coat with an Ivory Fur Collar. The dress has a classic mid-century modern silhouette with darts for a defined bust line, a stylish sheath skirt, long beaded sleeves. The coat with an ivory fur collar completes the ensemble. The fully satin lined coat has a pocket on each side and a pleat in the back. The interior of the coat and dress are finished off totally. Note the bound buttonholes, the pockets, the covered buttons, covered snaps. Note the hand stitched zipper in the dress and the exquisitely beaded sleeves with small zippers at the wrists. Top notch tailoring. Also note the small snaps and threads inside the dress bodice, 2 sets on each side of the bodice, to conceal your bra straps. I have included photos of the dress inside and out so that you can appreciate the quality workmanship. NOTE: Please review all photos. This dress is about 70 years old - it is vintage and as such will not be as perfect as it was back in the 1950's. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition now. However, the last three photos show the following: There are a few stains inside the back neckline of the dress and are not visible when wearing the dress. There are a few tiny ribbons frayed on the sleeves which are only visible when examining the sleeve closely and they can be repaired easily. The only other caveat is that a few beads may be missing - again, only visible on close examination. None of these slight discrepancies are visible and they do not hinder the wearability of the dress.
