Description: Amazing Concept 16.5 Receiver in very good conditionIt's fully functioning, i.e. all input and speaker channels and radio are working. It does have some small nicks and scratches, and shows signs of use. One of the AC outlets and B channel speaker jacks on the back are partially broken off. please refer to photos. I've owned several vintage receivers over the years (Marantz 2385, 2330B, 2325, 2275, 2245, Concept 7.5D, Sansui AU-9900A) and none compare to the power and sound of the Concept 16.5. I've owned this receiver since 2007 and have moved into tube amps so it's time to pass this on to a new owner. Concept was the house brand of the audio retailer Pacific Stereo in the late 70’s. The 16.5 was designed by Richard Schram, (now with Parasound), to exceed the performance of expensive component separates. It is the only high powered receiver with fully independent dual power supplies; two oversized Dower transformers and four 10,000uF electrolytic capacitors help provide the 16.5 with an awesome power output. Individual industrial-grade relays are used to switch the speaker systems.Specifications:Power output: 165 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHzTotal harmonic distortion: 0.1%Damping factor: 450Two phono inputsThree speaker inputsTwo tape inputsWeight: 67 lbs.
