Charles Counts TN/GA 1934-2000 Graduated Berea College, Kentucky. Masters in pottery and weaving at Southern Illinois University, Cartondale and then studied under Bauhaus trained master potter Marguerite Wildehain at Pond Farm in Guerneville, CA. Charles started his career in 1959 when he opened a studio at Beaver Ridge (TN) and several years later moved to Lookout Mountain (1963) GA. founding the pottery studio Rising Fawn. His work is in many private collections and in the collections of the High Museum of Art, Atlanta GA, the Greenville County Museum of Art, Greenville, SC and the Columbia Museum of Art, Columbia, SC. #2065
