Description: This is a vintage...just about antique, very RARE set, of Ceramic Laundry Bottles, known as, DUTCH BOY AND GIRL, circa 1928. *NOTE-THIS IS THE EXACT SET AS SEEN IN THE APRIL 2022 COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE! (see last 2 pics) They contacted me asking if they could use my laundry set, I agreed, they were shipped to their offices, used in the photoshoot, then they shipped them back to me and here they are now available for purchase! * The boy is a laundry sprinkler and has the original metal sprinkler top, that is in the top of his head and the girl is what was called a 'wetter downer', as she has a hole in the back of her head/bonnet, for pouring out more water than a 'sprinkle' and was used for dampening bedsheets. She has a larger hole on the bottom, where a cork would go. * The girl measures 7-3/4" high and the boy is 8-1/8" They are in EXCELLENT condition, with no cracks or chips or repairs. They do have some of the age-related and expected crazing, for pieces of ceramic as old as these are. The paint on them is FANTASTIC with no signs of wear. * Please view all of the pics as they are part of the description.
