Description: For sale as pictured: a set of four vintage casino chips: Dubuque Casino Bell (Iowa) 50 cent chip. The Dubuque Casino Belle was the first US passenger ship ever licensed for legal gambling. Its window of operation was distressingly brief; the Casino Belle opened in April of 1991, and closed in March of 1993, operating for almost exactly three years. Four Queens Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas) $5 chip. The Four Queens opened in 1966 and has been in continuous operation since as one of more popular "small" casino venues, off the strip, in Vegas. This item is a special event chip, for Labor Day 2009. It was released on September 7 of 2009 and (like a lot of event chips of the era) had a limited run of 1,000. It has unique litho images on each side. You can find this chip on eBay readily enough, but it is usually priced quite high. Caesar's Palace (Las Vegas) $1 chip. The look of the classic Caesar's blue single hasn't changed since at least the 1990s, with the stylized lithograph of a chariot along with the top hat and cane symbol representing entertainment. This example is in great used condition. Flamingo (Las Vegas) $5 chip. The Flamingo is the oldest continuously operating casino on the Las Vegas strip, having opened its doors in 1946. Nowadays it's owned by Caesar's, and features the top hat and cane logo as a stamp along the outer edges of its chips. In keeping with the casino's theme, their $5s are pink rather than red, and feature identical lithographs on both sides.
