Vintage c 1930 Art Deco Sterling Silver Enamel BUBBLE Necklace

This Art Deco bubble necklace is composed of seven enameled panels--three bubble clusters alternate with four oval panels. It displays multi-colored bubbles in blue, lavender, aqua, and yellow enamel. The smaller ones are iridescent. The bubble links are separated by intricately engraved and edged bar links. There is a peanut or crinkle chain attached to each side. One length is slightly over 3/8" longer than the other, which simply means the clasp will not be worn centered in the back of the neck. The backs of the bubble links are stamped on the back with "E" inside a box and "STERLING." The clasp is unmarked. Note: It appears that most sellers now incorrectly attribute this particular signature to Eisenberg. Eisenberg never made this type of jewelry and especially these "bubble" necklaces. The company with this signature remains unknown. The bubble necklace was introduced in 1930. The bubbles represented champagne bubbles and the frivolity of the previous decade, which, because of the beginning of the Great Depression, was now just a memory.
