There was a note with them that read "Dogs were collected by Lynn T Woolston 1938-1941 while his mother Ruby Woolston collected salt and pepper shaker" (note not included with purchase, as I have many listing of these figurines and only one note! However, I checked dates/names and there indeed was a Ruby Woolston, a son Lynn and the dates fit) IITEM TYPE: vintage bulldog figurine. Looks like a bulldog pup in a playful pose. Could represent any adorable mutt!!! MATERIAL: glazed ceramic MAKER/MARKS: stamped under one foot "Made in Japan" DIMENSIONS: approx 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" (small, but not a miniature) CONDITION: vintage adorable dog figurine, some dust from decades of display and storage. Some glaze skips on bass, light rubs. Most vintage items need cleaning ...I never "monkey with" vintage items, leaving that up to new owners....both product choice and what to do!
