The handle is likely to be ash and has no splits or other damage and is held firmly in place with a traditional wood wedge.No makers mark measures approx 27cm long he head ia 11.5cm wide with the work faces being 5.75cm in diameter weighs 1.75kg . fabulous useful size hammer for blacksmithing or tinsmithing !
