From the renowned Canadian jewelry company, this lovely sterling silver compact is square in shape and opens to a round mirror and compact. Each corner is cut in and the top is etched with scrolls and leafs, and a flower in the center. A delicate border gives it a nice finishing touch. The compact can lift out with the help of the ribbon loop. A delicate screen is still in place. The back side is monogrammed with a message: Bev Love Dorie Nov 21 / 1944, and the back is also hallmarked Birks Sterling. A lovely addition for the avid collector. Good vintage condition considering its age. This compact was given to me many years ago. I have never used it and it has been gently stored. I have never cleaned it and the mirror and silver have not been touched up or cleaned for this listing. The outside still looks good with some tarnish. The inside shows more signs of age and tarnish.
