Estate sale find, vintage original photo booklet of the "Ensenada Club" Baja California, Annual Outing, July 10-11-12, 1964. Several photos of members flying in, fishing, and spending time in the cantina. Roster lists the Hussongs along with several other prominent Californians. The original Hussong's located in Ensenada was established in 1892 and is the oldest and best known cantina in Baja California, Mexico. Hussong's is reputedly the place where the Margarita was created in October, 1941 by bartender Don Carlos Orozco. He concocted a mixture of equal parts tequila, damiana (Cointreau is used now) and lime, served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass for Margarita Henkel, daughter of the German Ambassador to Mexico. There are approximately 34 spiral bound photos, measuring approximately 4" X 6", approximate shipping weight 8 ounces.
