Vintage ASPT Bros. of California '82 - "No Hunting" Chalkware Lamp

Description: For sale, APST Bros. of California 1982 "No Hunting" lamp. The lamp depicts a duck hunter and his dog gathering up all of the ducks he just killed while sitting under a sign that says, "No Hunting". This is a chalkware lamp that looks to be painted by airbrush. This is a very nice lamp from the 80's. These APST Bros. lamps are very highly sought after. They do not turn up very often. It does bring back memories from the 80's. This lamp as I stated in the condition notes is in good to very good condition depending on individual opinion. The only flaws seen are a few small paint chips around it. I do not see these as detracting from the condition or functionality of the lamp. For myself, if I were keeping the lamp, I would say the lamp is in very good condition because I understand how easily it is to touch up. I also think that because of the style, type of lamp, material the lamp is made of, and the paints used I feel that the paint chips give it a sort of patina and add to the character of the lamp. I also understand the other opinion that would say this is in good condition because of the paint chips. Basically, the lamp has paint chips, even though they are minor, it makes the lamp not perfect. So, the condition would be considered good. I hope this explains my condition rating of good to very good. This lamp does not come with a shade or the mounting harp. These are often missing as the shade just does not survive. However, vintage shades and harps can often be found at any thrift store. New ones are also available from most department stores. This lamp is a great piece that would add to the decor of any retro style decorated home, or for the den/mancave. It is also a great piece to add to a collection if you are a APST Bros. collector.
