Description: Vintage 1940's/1950's or older very rare and hard to find African-American Black fraternal fraternity Mason Masonic Freemasonry member's ceremonial apron most likely from the MWPHGL Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United Supreme Council, AASR A.A.S.R, Supreme Council Ancient And Accepted Scottish Rite, Masonic Masons Masonry Freemasonry, Order Of The Knights Of Pythagoras, Pyramid Lodge #451 A. F. & A. M., Elks, Odd Fellows, Pythias, Mysterious Ten, Imperial Council Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Of The Nobles Of The Mystic Shrine Of North And South America, Shriners, etc. - not sure. The very ornate white leather with gold and pink trim apron has gold bullion thread trim, markings and graphics - "Bethel Chapter, 39". The gold bullion thread graphics and designs show Masonic symbols inside the triangles as pictured. Both original long red ropes are still there with their tasseled ends. The manufacturer's sewn on silk label on the front under the flap is marked "Wm. Lehmberg & Sons, Inc., Makers, Philadelphia". The same area has the stamp of the owner - "William H. Lewis, Jr.". The apron is in very good to excellent condition and shows minor use and storage wear as pictured. It displays beautifully with great colors, detail and patina.
