Description: Vintage 1982 Litton Microwave Oven Rack Description Up for sale is a vintage OEM 1982 Litton Microwave Oven Rack. I came across this rack in the middle of a spring cleaning and was under the mistaken assumption pertained to another household appliance that was no longer around (or in use for that matter) until I found the microwave's accompanying owner's guide and realized that the diagram depicting the removable rack was an exact match for this one and so I decided to include it together in a listing with it's original manual and a temperature probe, but the recent winner of that listing only wanted the probe, and so I decided to list the remaining two items separately on here. Now I don't recall ever actually using this rack with the wood grain finished microwave back in the day but I did notice some spotting on it, so I figure that must have come about from some sort of use, or perhaps these blemishes were just brought on by general storage. Who knows? I figure a bit of polishing out to do these spots some justice... nothing too major here, for a bit of cleaning solution can get it all shiny and spotless again. Unfortunately, I no longer have that old microwave with me anymore as that thing broke down ages ago and was replaced by a newer model. To make matters even a bit more complicated, there is a space on the manual where one would jot down the model and serial number of this unit, but for some unknown reason it was never written down, so I have no way of saying for sure what specific model microwave this rack is for other than it being referred to as a Litton Temperature Control Microwave Oven. The rack itself measures approximately 16 & 3/16" wide by 12 & 7/8" deep and the height of it (due to the bent corners that mount onto the unit's side wall clips) is approximately 13/16" tall give or take. Please note that I'm selling this rack in as-is condition due to the slight touch of wear (i.e. blemishes) on it. I figure if it can't be used as a direct replacement for a similar model microwave out there then perhaps it can be repurposed somehow.
