Vintage 1979 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon (nearly complete)

Description: The YT-1300 light freighter, also known as the YT-1300 Corellian freighter, was a type of light freighter manufactured by the Corellian Engineering Corporation that saw operation in the galaxy during the final days of the Galactic Republic and the reign of the Galactic Empire. The Millennium Falcon was a smuggling vessel that became part of the Rebel Alliance fleet and was a heavily modified YT-1300 of the YT-1300F variety. During the Falcon's time in the possession of the smuggler Lando Calrissian, it accumulated numerous modifications, but the Captain that made the ship iconic was Han Solo. Solo won it from Calrissian in a game of sabacc. Its aged appearance belied numerous advanced modifications to boost the ship's speed, weapons, and shields, including a hyperdrive engine that enabled it to outrun Imperial Capital Ships. The Falcon also had sensor-proof smuggling compartments, which aided Solo in his life as a smugger and were used during the rescue of Princess Leia Organa from the Death Star in Star Wars Episode IV. Afterwards, the Millennium Falcon saw further action when Solo chose to join the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Yavin to assist in the destruction of the Death Star. The Falcon continued to see action in a number of battles throughout Star Wars Cannon. Unlike other Star Wars toys and ships, which were released in 1978,the flagship of the original Star Wars movies took a long time to create, and didn't hit shelves until 1979. This offering an an original Kenner Millennium Falcon from their very successful Star Wars line of toys. The original toy was a sturdy plastic Spaceship with Battle Alert action sound, folding landing gears, folding entrance ramp, opening cockpit, secret hiding compartment, space chest game table, revolving radar dish and clicking laser gun with seat. Unfortunately, like many of the other Falcon's listed on ebay from this time period, it no longer has the practice remote ball Luke used to learn the ways of the force. This is a great example of an original Star Wars 1978 Millennium Falcon.
