Vintage 1974 Mattel Duke Rescue Unit Parts

Description: Before Kenner struck pay dirt with their Star Wars toy line, the company released a series different action figures that included a fully articulated canine named Duke. A mashup of Rin Tin Tin, Lassie, and Joe, and the German Shepherd from ‘70s Saturday morning TV show Run, Joe, Run, Duke stood 7” tall and 9” long. To make him capable of “super action,” Kenner also shipped a variety of Duke-themed activity sets and accessories, including a searchlight, portable rescue unit, water tank, and an underground H.Q., complete with a periscope. The Rescue Unit was one of these activity sets from the 1970s. The original advertisement for the Rescue Unit stated: "This two-wheeled Rescue Unit can either be used independently or together with Duke. Standing alone, it houses a winch that can be used for imaginary rescue situations, a trailer stand in orfer to make it stand upright, as well as a multi-directional, rotational emergency light that is activated once the child turns it on and the wheels are moving. The rear compartment also drops down for easy access and storage". This offering includes multiple individual parts you can use to complete your own Rescue Unit Cart. All items show some wear and tear for a toy that is over 40 years old. Each of these parts were salvaged from a cart I owned as a child. The 2 C Cell batteries pictured were photographed to demonstrate the functional searchlight and are not included as part of the sale. All are Kenner OEM parts, no 3D printed parts are included in this sale. If you buy multiple parts and are shipping to the same address, I will combine shipping and refund you the difference.
