Mongin Forge Main Nogent Inox, 13 cm . 1965-1980This is a wonderful French folding knife known as *Coup de Poing* from the famous French knife maker *Jacques Mongin*Plain and solid blond horn handle and lock ring blade on the palm spring.The blade and all metal accessories are completely handcrafted and the spring is fitted to the handleMirror polished blade tang stamped * Forge Main / JM / Nogent Inox * within in an oval.Until the end of the 1980s, the signature in an oval was preceded by the words "Forgé Main" which has subsequently and until today been replaced by the words "Fait Main". The blades are now laser cut and no longer shaped in the forge. They are rather more efficient and consistent than before, but "Hand Forged" markings are rarer and more expensive than "Handmade" markings.Mint overall condition, no chips or cracks to the handles and no dents to the steel partsIt measures 13 cm folded and 21,5 cm in fully extended position.
