Description: Vintage 1940's White Nylon Jersey Wedding Gown. All Original except for a replacement 20" center back zipper with hook and eye at the neck, and 51 3/4" self-fabric covered buttons: 48 up the back, and 3 on each pointed sleeve cuff. The soft fabric does have some stretch. The bust measures 34", but easily stretches to 38". The waist is 22" across, but stretches to 28" The full skirt gives the hips more than 60". The gown is 56" long in the front and is 61" long in the back. Shoulders are 15" across. Sleeves are 26" long at the point over the back of the hand. Armholes are 16' around. Cuffs are 6" around, and stretch to 8" with three buttons and loops to close.There are double-fabric reinforcements in the shoulders, but not shoulder-pads. The only decoration is a 1/2" self-fabric ruffle trim around the bodice and midriff. The gown is in excellent condition with no stains or holes and all seams intact. Gown has been washed in Woolite and ironed. Packaged to Mail it weighs 1.5 lbs in a 19x16x4 envelope.
