Description: I found these two Christmas cards in my father's estate boxes. The 1930s card was in a box of his mother's correspondence - all from the 20s and the 30s. The card "Christmas Greeting" card was never used. It was folded in the lower right corner, as you can see. I recognize the most collectible Christmas cards are full of bright colors, but this one is truly unique. It is on lightweight paper; it is not square intentionally (the bottom right hand corner juts out slightly to allow for the Christmas tree on the inside of the card); the black graphic design is sharp and artistic, and forms a continuous landscape from the front to the back. NOTICE the men's top hats...the dresses worn by the ladies and girls, etc. This" period clothing" dates the greeting card to the early thirties...maybe even the 20s. The card seems to be light silver or frosty blue/gray. Folded, the card is 5.5 inches tall, and 4 inches wide. I am throwing in the Pollyanna Santa Christmas card just for fun. It is 6" tall and 3.5 inches wide. It has a small pin prick hole on the back side, just below the writing (message in the card). It is also unused...and has a very slight horizontal light fold about the center of the card. I ship only to the USA, and will ship these cards to you FREE (no mailing cost).
