Description: Original 1930's wool Mackinaw cloth, winter coat. Mackinaw cloth is a tightly woven wool that insulates well and sheds water. A perfect outer layer for the harshest winter days. This example is a particularly sporty short coat with its single breasted closure, belt-back, and side adjusters. A common feature to 1930's. Mackinaws is that they're generally unlined. My favorite feature of this coat is the hand warmer pockets. This example has no manufacturer tag. Overall in excellent condition except for a small moth bite on the collar and a little bit of fraying on one cuff. See pictures for details. Don't miss out on this exceptional piece of history. Measurements (lying flat) Size: 36 or 38r, depending on how you like the fit. Jacket Pit to pit: 22" (allow 4 to 6" to wear it as an outer layer) Shoulder: 18" Sleeve: 24.5" Length from base of collar: 27" Notes: Smells slightly of mothballs due to storage. This will air out relatively quickly or can be dry cleaned out.
