These multi-colored necklaces were very popular back in the 1960s and 1970s, which is when I bought this necklace. I wore it only a few times, but then, this "style" went out of fashion. So I forgot about it. But now, I see that 1970's jewelry is back in fashion. So I've decided to list it, since I don't wear it any more.. DESCRIPTION= This is a wire-wrapped necklace. Made up of various multi-colored polished stone chips. The necklace features a mix of natural (polished) semi-precious stone chips. For example: Amethyst, Nephrite Jade {or Aventurine}, Carnelian, Agate, Citrine, Chalcedony, Chrysoprase, Quartz, etc. .It can go with many outfits, since there are so many amazing colors in this necklace. The colors in this necklace are in various shades of: Dark yellows, Jade Green colors, Rust colors, Purples, Dark browns, Light browns, Reds, etc.. ERA= I bought this necklace in Italy, during one of my trips in the 1960's or 1970's. I think I got it in Venice. . MEASUREMENTS + WEIGHTS= I measured the necklace, and it is 50 inches long,all the way around....Weight is approximately 1.5 ounces. . I have taken photos of this necklace on a bust-mannequin, so that you can see how this necklace hangs around the neck, when it is twirled around (in a double-strand style).. WIRE WRAP STYLE= As can be seen by the photos, it comes with a chain “type” of wire in a “beaded style” that adds a unique touch to the overall design. Since I have no way of telling what kind of WIRE that the Artisan used in wrapping these Stones, I can't state the exact metal purity. Thus, I am listing this necklace as being "wrapped with gold-tone wires" . CONDITION= The condition is above very good. It has no flaws. It looks like new, to me. All the stones are bright and colorful and the wire is nice and shiny. The wire wraps are intact. No weird odors, and this necklace comes from a non-smoking home. . Thank you for stopping by! .
