Description: I have now serviced a couple hundred lidars. Once in a while an organically, super nice unit comes around. This is that one. Naturally balanced (hold it in your hand when spinning and it's quiet and it spins as smooth as silk!). The mirror's AR coating is super consistent and clean. The imaging is tight (the screen shots are from the inside of my 12x12 office). If you happen to have a project that requires a higher degree of precision, this is the one. Offered is a ‘Plug and Scan’ VLP-32c Lidar, with GPS, and all new accessories. This packaged bundle includes the following: This Velodyne VLP-32c Ultra Puck Lidar has just been serviced and has no operational hours (it has .5 hour runtime for testing). Servicing included: Firmware updated to latest releaseA Brand New, upgraded upper bearing has been installed (EZO (Japan) - higher quality, quieter, longer life - ABEC-7 vs. factory installed ABEC-1)Rebalancing of upper circuit board (more precise than factory)All lenses have been perfectly tightened, cleaned & treated with a Ceramic coatingThe inner and outer dome window lens has been cleaned & treated with a Ceramic coatingPost magnet is sealed on the top side to prevent flakingPermanente interior motor magnets inspected and cleanedOptical IC on bottom circuit board cleaned and coatedFull unit inspected (methodical with checklist)Tightening and inspection of all Allen and set-screwsBottom O-ring replaced with new (preventative)Both ring seals cleaned and re-coated (waterproofing)Exterior domes and lens has been treated with an additional Ceramic UV/waterproof coating Brand new factory Velodyne control module with a new 10' cable. A new upgraded Amphenol cable vise has also been added to the control module. This upgrade tightly secures the cable into the module and prevents that dreaded cable twist. Brand new (upgraded) Phoenix Contact M12 - 8 pin male and female pair, waterproof connectors (follows standard Velodyne wire pinout). These are higher quality (and way lighter) than the original factory connectors! All shrink tubing has been replaced with double walled, marine grade tubing. Marine grade has two layers, is thicker and has an interior glue lining (adheres when heated) to strengthen and waterproof. This also helps prevent the cable that goes into the unit, both connectors and the interface box from 'cable twisting' (known issues)! Brand new, Velodyne factory configured, Garmin GPSx 18X LVC with a 15’ cable. This also comes with the addition of an upgraded flexible plug wire sheathing (original from Velodyne comes with unprotected wires) ~ Notice the active GPS data on screen pic! ~ Brand new 3' external 12v power cord Brand new Velodyne factory 110v control module power transformer Brand new 6' waterproof, flat Category-8 shielded ethernet cable (super durable and flat is easier to route) A data USB containing a full document library is also provided.
