A Pair of Type 3 Vintage Veiligglas European Wirepull Marbles. This is a pair of fantastic marbles in the Type 3 wirepull class; with a clear base and a single thread - one in white, the other in yellow (Type 3 usually only come in these colours). The wire in both are crisp and well-structured, and the base glass has appealing internal bubbles. For either the enthusiast or beginner, this represents an opportunity to reinforce a wirepull collection with one of the varied types. These mesmerising Veiligglas Wirepull marbles were made in the Netherlands during the 50's and 60's. All the different types which they made share a clear or transparent coloured glass base with a single or double wire, often unbroken in the twists and turns it makes as it fills the base glass. They have a widely varied, highly collectible and enjoyable character, with many different combinations of wire type, colour and structure - varying from wispy and amorphous to bold, flat 'tapeworm' designs.These attractive vintage marbles were very popular when they were made, and are becoming harder to obtain over time.
