Description from the web follows: The device was developed from the well-known Leica BIG 3 by the world-famous Swiss company Wild-Heerbruck (Vectronix AG, now SAFRAN). Fabulous optics and outstanding workmanship make this device the most popular observation residual light amplifier in many armies and authorities. It is used by the Swiss customs authorities, the federal police and the German armed forces, among others. The device has a mirror lens with a focal length of 75 mm and an aperture of less than 1.2! (exactly 1/1.17). It therefore has a (real!) 3x magnification with fabulous light values. Brilliant, edge-sharp, very balanced image.
