The canvas is strong, the felt lining completely intact and the lift-the-dot fasteners show little to no wear. The first letter is hard to make out but I believe it is marked – “MAMER-LOCKWOOD / MFG CO.-1941”. Pre-Pearl Harbor web gear in this condition is rare as hens teeth. The canteen used to flesh out the cover for the photos is not included in the sale! I’m an older collector who has decided it is time to start moving some of the collection.
