Description: Roughly 3.5” Very good vintage condition. See pics. Someone has added an ornament cap onto the back where the pike is. I lifted it up and see no chips to the pike. It’s not supposed to be there on these ornaments but can easily be taken off. I’ve just always left it because it’s not hurting anything. Some people think the back pikes are supposed to be covered up but they are not. They are meant to have the wire coming out of it and up to the front so when you hang it, you can see the face of the ornament. This is one of only 2 kaleidoscope ornaments I’ve ever seen like this. I have both. The center ball is white has a snow like coating and reflects onto the concave interior. Also, there are vintage paper angel pictures on the side and gold stars and they also reflect onto the concave interior. So you can see the little angel faces. Truly stunning and unusual. I don’t really want to sell some that I’m listing but the kids want to go to Disney so if they sell for my asking price, I’m at peace with it. This is one I hate to part with because I’ve spent so much time looking for these types of ornaments and it’s the only one of two I’ve ever seen. Kaleidoscopes are ornaments that typically have a colored ball, liquid filled ball, or glass thread center. These centers reflect into the silver concave of the ornament. Most are made in Italy, Germany, and Japan.
