Description: Up for bid is a vintage silver souvenir spoon made from a split Austrian 1780 Maria Theresa Taler coin. The spoon is 6 1/8 inches long and weighs 22 grams. The bowl is formed from the front half of a Maria Theresa Taler coin. It has a twisted flat stem, topped with the double-headed Hapsburg eagle cut from the reverse of the coin. The piece has not been monogrammed. There are no marks other than those on the coin. Condition on the spoon is fairly good. There are saw marks on the backs of the coin pieces, as well as minor bends. An interesting old coin bowl spoon!
