Thanks!History Septarian geode with sparkly Barite crystals from Veynes, Haute Alpes, France. This extremely rare piece features a Septarian geode half that is polished with an open interior showing fine sparkling Barite crystals within. The name Septarian is derived from the Latin word " septum", meaning partition, and refers to the divisions or cracks that are typical of this sort of rock. They are generally formed in calcium rich clay which then hardens to form this type of limestone nodule, with the dark grey exterior. Over many years, the rock contracts, giving rise to cracks, later becoming filled with water. Calcite crystals slowly then formed in the center. This specimen of French barite has excellent form and beautiful subtle crystallization features.Birthstone The Barite stone's official zodiac sign is Aquarius. The warrior stone encourages Aquarius to make bold and wise choices. If you spend time with a barite stone, you will discover your destiny. It will give you glimpses of what you must do in this life. MineralogyBarite or " baryte" is a mineral consisting of barium sulphate. Barite occurs in hydrothermal ore veins, particularly those containing lead and silver, in sedimentary rocks such as limestone, in clay deposits formed by the weathering of limestone, in marine deposits, and in cavities in igneous rock. As a mineral, barite occurs in many locations around the world. Physical Properties of Barite Chemical Classification -Sulfate Color -Colorless, white, light blue, light yellow, light red, light green, grey Streak -White Luster -Vitreous to pearly Mohs Hardness -2.5 to 3.5 Chemical Composition -Barium sulfate, BaSO4 Metaphysical Due to its extraordinary density and gravity, barite is an essential mineral that serves as an energy anchor. Higher frequency energies are embedded into one's physical body and conscious awareness, as are communications from higher consciousness. The spiritual ascension process is aided by the ascension crystal barite, which helps to integrate these energies. Barite is a crystal that activates our third eye and crown chakras, bringing with it energies that help awaken ones psychic abilities. It's a stone of inner vision, inter- dimensional travel, and communication with our guides and guardian angels. Barite pushes us to come in contact with and align to our higher self, which passively increases ones wisdom and mental awareness. Meditating with this stone will push you to operate on a higher frequency and can cause increased lucid dreaming. The universe, and your higher self, are assisting you to be on the life path that you truly desire. Feng Shui Septarian can be used in the Center area to promote balance and harmony. It can also be used in the Relationship area to encourage cooperation and understanding. If you are looking for a stone to use in the Meditation area, this specimen will also be an excellent choice.
