Please make sure to read all description details. 3D printed base with plaster poured into the floor of the nest, helps to spread and create a nice humid environment mimicking ants natural habitat. The nest area has a glass cover that lays flushed over the nest area. About the external playground area: This piece is just for fun and not for use without constant supervision. Fill the perimeter with water to create a barrier to prevent ants from escaping. The red foil is used to block off the area when not in use. Some ants may not want to go back into the farm- so you may have to place a mini dish or paper on the playground for them to climb on and then drop them back into the farm. About the plaster: This type of plaster can be dug up by ants if there is too much water added. About 2-3 drops of water is enough to humidify the area- you will notice the plaster change color as it gets adequately moisturized. No need to add extra water. Some species may also begin to dig in the plaster if they need more room in their nest. Even if ants do dig up any plaster- there is no need to worry. The plaster can easily be patted back into place - dropping a few drops of water on the plaster may help. This type of plaster is chosen over other types because it is pH balanced and non-toxic. Other types of plaster may release chemicles and cause burning to ants legs. About the outworld of the Ant Farm: The walls and lid of the farm is of Acrylic. The walls are secured to the base with acrylic glue. Please do not try to pry off the walls, this will damage the farm. If it is determined that you intentionally try to do any damage to the farm, we will not refund or resend a new item.
