Description: The "Maxepa Cross" of the Ukrainian "Sich" (Cossacaks) Riflemen was establish in 1940, in Cracow, Poland for the soldiers of the Brigade serving in the ranks of the Ukrainian Galician Army. There are two types of crosses, each with a different ribbon. The ribbon offered is for the first issue cross. It is 38mm wide. It was made in England. I am using a excellent reference book, "Ukrainian Military Awards" by Jaroslaw Semotiuk for identification of Ukrainian medal ribbon as well as other reference sources. The ribbon was made by Spink and son, London, England more than 30 year ago. It is new old stock. The ribbon is quite scarce and not often found on the collector market. I am selling 6" sections of ribbon which is more than enough for a medal. I have a limited supply of this ribbon. I have stock of over 260 countries on hand.
