Description: TWO ANTIQUE Royal Doulton Persian Spray 9" Salad Plates Burslem England VERY rare design with sun motif in blue & gold - both of them are similar, but slightly different designs. From another site I found during research: Sun motifs and sprays of flowers, porcelain, made by Doulton & Co, Burslem, England, 1891-1902. A bone china plate, decorated with sun motifs and sprays of flowers. A circular foot ring rises to a concave upper face, with a deep well and wide border. The plate is decorated in Persian style, the well is decorated with transfer-printed sprays of flowers and two sun motifs in cobalt blue. A gold sun motif has been transfer-printed over the top. The border is decorated with a scrolling foliate design and one (or 2, on the other plate) sun motifs, in gold transfer print, on a cobalt blue background. The border design and rim are edged in gold.Condition: Both are chip & crack free but have some wear along the gold rim & decorations and one has some pretty massive stains of some sort on the back. There is some light discoloration on the fronts. SUPER rare design, I could not find any others like this on any other website. Sold as is, as found. Please review photos.
