They are a dark brown shade (I believe the name of the shade is Black Cherry). They have a black "MAXwear Wedge" sole with contrasting white stitching design. Lace up (3 eyelets, followed by 3 speed hooks, followed by one eyelet). They come with Thorogood's very own cushioned removable insoles. Excellent quality boots. Plenty of tread left on the bottom exterior soles. Exterior measurements of the bottom soles are: 12.75" from tip of toe to back of heel, 4.625" width from ball of foot to exterior edge (widest point of foot). 1" heel (some very slight wear on heel, see photos). Constructed of high quality leather, in the U.S.A. Comparable brand new boots are currently priced around $250.00, so these are a bargain.
