Description: Theory of Elasticity Engineering Societies Monographs by Timoshenko 1934. The book is in very good shape with only minor wear on the edges. The only issue with the book is one in which makes it interesting. On the inside page it has written in ink Property of N. Tralli with an address in New York. On the title page it is signed N. Tralli in a somewhat official fashion as if it was the author, which of course he is not. Where it gets interesting is there is well known author in the same field named Nunzio Tralli. Nunzio has published many books in the field of engineering to do with Nuclear power, atomic, electromagnetic etc. He taught at St. John’s university in New York. What I don’t understand is why Nunzio would have signed the book. I could understand why he owned it. Perhaps it’s just all a coincidence and that was simply the name of the previous owner and no connection to Nunzio. The narrative just seems to fit. Please have a look at he the photos and feel free to message me. Thanks for your interest in this item.
