Description: It is well known that Catalina Island and Pottery Company, from the 1920s-30s, made ceramic plates. Now...so have we! Pictured here is part of a design the old Company made which we call THE TOUCAN. It is offered by CATALINA PICTURE TILE, the currently producing company that has been making quality Catalina reproductions since 1977. A few years ago, we were written up in The Catalina Islander, the local newspaper, for keeping the Catalina Tile Making Tradition alive. We were recently selected to produce all of the Catalina Island Bird Scenes (6) and The Marlin, for the Gallery Wall of the new Chrisman Channel Islands Museum in Carpinteria (The opening of the museum is hopefully in Spring of 2024) This scene is fired on a brown clay ceramic plate and hand glazed. This plate is 10"x10" and the walls of the plate 1" high. Our ceramics are fired to Cone 06 (1800*) We can be found through a google search under Catalina Picture Tile. The plate is sold as pictured. What you see is what you get. Be sure to ask questions, if any, before purchasing. This auction is meant for the USA, but out of country shipping is available through Ebay's global shipping plan for an extra cost.
