He is a renowned critic and theorist, founding exponent of postcolonial theory, and author of 21 books and over 200 articles and chapters. Co-editor of The Postcolonial Studies Reader, he is also co-author of The Empire Writes Back, the first text to offer a systematic examination of the field of postcolonial studies.Gareth Griffiths is Emeritus Professor at the University of Western Australia. He has published widely in the field of postcolonial literatures and literary theory.
