Description: The Homeland Guide to London by W. G. Morris - 1947? 1st Ed PB - VG or NM Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a another locked glass bookcase above my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in NEAR MINT condition. The spine is unbroken. There is no dust jacket. Actual front and back covers have very minimal damage. There are marks in the text. Pages are crisp, clean and mostly unmarked. Cover lies flat. All black and white photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 8th edition. Please note, we are unsure of the date of this edition. What we see on the British Library is only 1947. This is the 8th edition and we can't find any info on when ANY of the editions came out. There is a Kindle version that has a similar cover and is a reissue, but again, that doesn't help us figure out a book with NO information in it that we (as in multiple people) can find. The book is in VERY GOOD condition. There is very minor scuffing on the cover, and there is a part of the glue separating from the spine in the front of the book - easily and neatly fixed with glue. There is one problem, somebody, and we have no idea who, started underlining in black ink on the table of contents. We found another note in ink above a map. We do not see anything else, but please assume we missed something because we were so upset. Seriously, who writes in books? We lowered the price we were asking for as this is WRONG on so many levels. Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books. Safe shipping moves them into the next postal category. Sorry! Please NOTE: We live in Michigan and it is winter. We have the Lake Effect almost every day – massive cloud cover. We are doing the best we can with interior lighting for the pictures. Also, please NOTE: Almost every book has a smudge somewhere. We mention it if we see it, but please assume we missed something. PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not applicable as this book is an import. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry! Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. We hope you fun and stay with us. Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items. Free local pick up. We refund your shipping charges! Please help us recycle these lovingly cared for curios in an environmentally friendly manner. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
