Description: These are EXCELLENT condition copies of The Gamers, SEVEN DAYS BATTLES, published in 1997-98-99. These are games #1-11,1-12 and 1-13, in the Civil War Brigade Series, which is no longer in print. The games simulate the Seven Days battles, which witnessed the new Confederate commander, Robert E. Lee and the newly christened ARMY of NORTHERN VIRGINIA, drive George McClellan and the ARMY of the POTOMAC from the "the Gates of Richmond". The series simulated Civil War battles at the tactical brigade level, with an emphasis on Command aspects of the battles. Game scale is 200 yard hexes, with 30' contour levels. Infantry and cavalry brigade strength points are 100 men, while artillery battalion points are 3 guns. Game turns represent 30 minute day and 1 hour night. System rules, which have evolved from the initial, In Their Quiet Fields(Antietam-1988), include Orders and Initiative as well as Morale States, Fire Levels, Step Losses and Stragglers. The components are in EXCELLENT unpunched condition, with Seven Pines & Malvern Hill, NEAR MINT, condition. GAINES MILL is also EXCELLENT, although one the center charts pages has been detached. The rules booklets are crisp, clean and solid. The game maps are clean and solid with bright colors and the counters are near PRISTINE. The game boxes are solid with some minor evidence of edgewear and compression. There is a 1" blue stain on the bottom of the Malvern Hill box and some tape residue on the bottom edge of the Gaines Mill lid.
