The Executioner's Song won the Playboy writing award in 1979 and the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1980, and was a finalist for the 1980 National Book Award. Mailer adapted a screenplay from the book for the eponymous 1982 television movie, which starred Tommy Lee Jones (who won an Emmy for the role). Condition: A beautiful copy, tight and crisp, with signs of prior use or wear. Binding - very good. Book is square, tight, and clean throughout. Small stain on front endpaper (see photo). Light spotting to front paper edge (see photo). Dust jacket - Attractive unclipped dust jacket is crisp and bright, and is protected by a clear mylar cover. Small tear to top rear near spine.
