Description: Up for sale here is a HUGE Beatles CD box set from 1988. This was manufactured in the UK and sold exclusively in Japan. This set is comprised of 5 boxes all housed inside a giant master box. There were only 2,000 copies of this set manufactured. The weight of this item is over 20 pounds! So, what's inside? Box 1 - #685 Includes the first four Beatles CD's in mono (Please Please Me, With The Beatles, A Hard Day's Night, Beatles For Sale), 4 6x8 B&W glossy photos, AND a copy of The Beatles Live! by Mark Lewisohn which of course includes the flexi interview disc., Box 2 - #777 Includes the next three Beatles CD's (Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver), a metal tie clip of Ringo's drum set and a copy of The Beatles Book, a 176 page oversized paperback from Omnibus Press, full of pictures and text. Box 3 - #1539 Includes three (four) more Beatles CD's (Sgt Pepper, The Beatles (The White Album) and Yellow Submarine). Also includes a metal "20 Years Ago" pin, Derek Taylor's 1987 6x9 paperback book, It Was Twenty Years Ago Today and an embossed piece of art of a sliced apple and The Beatles logo copying the White Album. This is print #25 of 2,000 and is hand signed by the artist. See photo. Box 4 - #502 Includes three more CD's (Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road and Let It Be), an Abbey Road metal pin, and a 12x10.5 hard cover book, The Beatles - A Celebration by Geoffrey Giuliano, a 224 page book full of photos and text. Box 5 - #988 Includes the two Past Masters CD's, an 11x9 oversized paperback book, With The Beatles - The Historic Photographs Of Dezo Hoffman, and a lead, hand painted paperweight yellow submarine. Here is the only problem with this set. The very tiny propeller that was on the back of the submarine has broken off, but it is included with this set. It will take some incredible diligence to glue it on the submarine where it belongs. Also, the master box has a slight dent in the upper corner. See photo. And that's it folks. The absolute ultimate Beatles box set. Over 20 pounds of CD's and extra goodies. A very rare item, and one that will WOW any Beatles fan. You most likely will not find another set like this one!
