Description: This Thailand 50 Baht banknote was released by the Government of Thailand between 1985 and 1996 as part of the Series Thirteen Issues. It was issued to commemorate the Bicentennial Celebration of Bangkok in 1982. Featured on its obverse are the Royal Garuda emblem, Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) wearing a uniform, and the emblem of the Chakri Dynasty which depicts a chakra (discus) and a trisula (tident). The back of the note features the coat of arms of Thailand and the signatures of Rama VII, the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall within the Royal Dusit Palace, a statue of the seated Rama VII from the monument in front of the National Parliament building in Bangkok, and the Royal Garuda emblem. This banknote comes with a solid purple security thread with printed Thai text. It also has a watermark that shows Rama IX. This banknote is 144 x 72 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
