This instrument has a dreadnought type body style, using Mahogany for the body and neck and Ebony for the fingerboard. It uses a 24.9inch scale, which is shorter than a typical dreadnought style guitar. The pickup uses Taylor's original pickup system Expression System 2. By arranging the sensor behind the bridge saddle, even though the pickup uses a piezo element, it does not give off the harsh piezo-smelling sound that is common with conventional under-saddle piezo pickups, producing the guitar's natural sound. It is characterized by a sound that sounds like an output. This machine does not appear to have been overused, other than weather checking of the paint due to aging and slight dents from normal use. The neck is in good condition and the truss rod is OK in both forward and reverse warping directions. There is little wear on the frets and nuts, and the electrical system is in good condition.
