Description: Vintage US Submarine Veterans Cold War Era Submarine Tang Base Members VestThis is a genuine early vest made for the US Submarine Veterans Assn. This one was worn by Ray Walthers of Tampa Bay Florida Tang Base. He worked his way from enlisted to Chief Petty Officer during 20 years in the U.S. Navy including Submarine Services. Bright blue with gold embroidery along the edges ,name on the front and the subs he served on USS Halibut SSGN- 587, USS Cutlass SS-478, USS Triton SSRN-586, and USS Von Steuben SSBN 632 on the back. Two metal buttons with a expansion chain on front. Condition is excellent. Color is bright, stitching is good all around. Measures 17" shoulder to shoulder, 22" armpit to armpit and 24" top of back to bottom back hem
