A very good specimen with some natural imperfections. This has NOT been sanded.Much sanding will be needed for a very high gloss (gradually done using from 80 grit up to 2000+ grit sand paper), and the oak/mahogany/pine butt piece could be varnished, or hand rubbed. A matt finish requires less Sanding. There are some surface blemishes that will sand off (A belt sander/orbital sander would help before hand sanding.)
