Description: Charmeuse is a lightweight silk; draping effortlessly. It is usually cut on the bias so has a has built in ease. It can be made of silk or a synthetic look-a-like, such as polyester. Silk charmeuse is more expensive & delicate, but softer, and a better insulator; yet is a natural fiber. Measurements: Circumference around the chest under the breast is 34". There is a micro elastic placed on the only back seam which is horizontal & gives ease to the garment at that place. The back - from side seam to side seam is 16" with the tiny, elastic invisible band adding about 1" in ease. The front - from side seam to side seam is 17". The corded silk charmeuse straps, which are not adjustable (metal on 100% silk charmeuse - faux pas!), are 13" long over the shoulder back to front. Length from back seam to bottom is 10". Side seams together from top to bottom is 10.5" The cups are gathered for up to a C cup. I have this camisole; different color (lace); same size.
