You will need to block off the impulse line with the included vacuum plug. If you’re in the chainsaw repair business, this is a useful tool that will allow you to verify your machine has zero air leaks before you mount the top handle. You may think no big deal, however 10 minutes adds up over time. Simply slide your intake boot through the passage and fasten your test flange with the carburetor mounting screws included with your chainsaw.
