Steel Mystery Dial Zodiac Astro II 1970's Integrated Bracelet Vintage Watch

Description: The present Zodiac Astronomic II was purchased from Watches of Switzerland (Analog Shift) and is running well for its age and vintage condition. Nicks and Scuffs are consistent with age of the watch. While I probably can't describe the watch as well as the good folks at A/S or WoS, this is one super fun watch and as the original ads Zodiac ran for the Astrographic II, this is "Definitely not the watch you get after 20 years with the company." This Zodiac embodies the 1970's with an aesthetic that isn't out of place with today despite its age. Blue, stainless steel, integrated bracelet. If you're any kind of watch nerd or have read anything about "watches being hot" you've probably heard that description and it could describe anything from a AP Royal Oak to a Patek Philippe Nautilus or any of their many copycats. Well that description fits this Zodiac to a T and thankfully it's a mere fraction of what those other watches will cost you. (Yes, they're not the same, but this is going to be a much better conversation starter) This Astrographic II, in addition to being on trend, brings the fun in the form of a mystery dial — rather than conventional hands, the Astro II features plastic rings overlaid with a dot, dash, and an arrow, which represent the passing seconds, minutes, and hours, respectively. The Zodiac logo features subtly, yet prominently at the center of the crosshairs. The case is 37mm chrome-plated steel which wears bigger than its numbers due to the shape of the bezel and bracelet fitting. It has a stainless steel caseback, a signed crown, and a polished concave bezel as well. The closure of the bracelet is very secure and tight. The watch is powered by a ETA Calibre 2724.
