Description: St. Louis, MO CDV skeptical man with tie pin, mustache, by J.W. Fischer The subject seems to be raising his eyebrows in a skeptical or questioning manner, but it may just be his look. On the reverse of the green card is printed:"J.W. Fischer(Successor to Wood & ischer.)S.E. Corner Franklin Avenue and Ninth Street.SAINT LOUIS." Card measures 4 x 2.5 inches, and is thick cardboard. Photo measures 3.75 x 2.25 inches. Overall yellowing to card & image. Fading to image, in an oval pattern as though the card was once in a frame or album. Light surface scratching to photo. My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn't able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it's a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process. I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please check out my other listings. I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
