Please note that this tureen does not come with a ladle. The tureen is marked “Spode Made in England Italian Spode Design c. 1816 V”, it measures about 10 inches tall, with its lid, 14 inches across from handle to handle, and, inside, it measures 9-1/2 inches across, 8-1/4 inches wide and 4-3/4 inches deep with a 3 quart capacity. This “SPODE BLUE ITALIAN Large Lidded Soup Tureen” was displayed in a kitchen curio; it was never used for food** and it is in fine, as made condition. *Quotes are from Spode's history of the Blue Italian design. **Other sellers have stated that like tureens are dishwasher and microwave safe. This tureen was made in England, not China, and the make up of the ceramic material may be different. I would hand-wash this tureen and NOT put it into a microwave oven.
