Description: Offered is a Spinosaurus tail (caudal) vertebra with processes mostly intact. This vertebra is is excellent condition and measures 9-1/2 inches tall and 9-1/2 inches wide. The centrum is about 3-3/4 across on one side and 3-5/8 inches across on the other side. It's rare to see a Spinosaurus tail vertebra with the processes intact. The vertebra has great colors, red and white, typical of the Kem-Kem region of Morocco where it was found. It is from the late Cretaceous, approximately 110 million years old. Also included in the photos is a scan from Ernst Stomer's (the discover of Spinosaurus) original paper on Spinosaurus, with a tail (caudal) vertebra circled.
